Metal can deactivate the clay
Materials
1
tablespoon
bentonite clay
1
teaspoon
apple cider vinegar
1-2
teaspoons
water
Instructions
Wash your underarms with gentle soap and water, then pat dry before applying the detox mask.
Mix the clay, apple cider vinegar (ACV), and water with a non-metal bowl and spoon. See note below.
Apply the mask in a thin layer to each underarm.
Leave on for 5–10 minutes. A tingling and tightening sensation is normal.
Rinse completely with warm water. *See note below.
Notes
Metal can deactivate the
clay
, so use a non-metal bowl and spoon.
Apple Cider Vinegar
(ACV) can cause a mild sting on sensitive skin. If it does, reduce the amount you use, replacing it with water for consistency.
Over time, your body will acclimate to the ACV and you can work up to the full 1 tsp.
You can do a patch test first: apply a small amount on your inner arm for 5–10 minutes.
Add water as needed to get a nice paste consistency. If you make it too runny, it gets messy fast.
*I don't rinse the clay down the drain since it can clog pipes. Some people haven't had this issue, so choose your own adventure here. 😉
